The new maternal health theatre in Makunduchi will respond to the region’s urgent need for accessible, high-quality maternal care. Previously, limited facilities left mothers at risk of complications and unsafe home births. The maternal health theatre will provide skilled delivery services, antenatal and postnatal care, and newborn support for hundreds of families each year. With trained midwives and improved referral pathways, it is already reducing preventable risks and ensuring mothers receive timely, dignified care close to home.
