Save Somali mothers and babies this Ramadan
Please support the life-saving work of our eight health centres providing maternal and newborn care to vulnerable Somali mothers and babies. Your support provides safe births with trained midwives and treatment for severe acute malnutrition.
Zamzam UK enables donors internationally to support the transformational work of Zamzam Foundation, Somalia’s biggest Somali-created and Somali-led charity. Our programmes help over 2 million Somalis to survive and thrive each year, through emergency relief, health and nutrition, water and sanitation, livelihoods, education and orphan support, and peacebuilding.
Over 3,600 babies are born each year in Zamzam Foundation’s eight health centres across Banadir, Gedo, Middle and Lower Juba, and Middle Shabelle. We support families displaced by drought and conflict, providing safe maternity care, newborn vaccinations, and treatment for severe malnutrition. £30 ($41) provides life-saving nutrition for two children. £99 ($135) supports three mothers with safe births and professional maternity care.
